about my friend's hat....

So far, though, it's just these two really sad attempts at it.

I promised a friend of mine that I'd knit him a hat a few months back and now that I have all the time in the world, I can finally do it.

But, if I actually knitted the darn thing, it would take forever and it would be my 40th birthday before getting it done, since I'm most likely the world's slowest knitter. Instead, I decided to crochet it, and it doesn't look that bad.

I'm hoping the third time is the charm.

Perhaps, if I start from the top and not the bottom, like I've been....
